ShahRukh Khan’s coming movie Pathan, starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, is currently creating a lot of buzz ahead of its release that is on the (25th Jan) of next month. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on this Friday advised the makers of the film to make some changes in the film, including in its songs and submit a revised version of this movie.

This is all said by Chairperson Prasoon Joshi. He said, “Just to put all inquiries around this film at rest, as the film freshly reached the CBFC examination committee for the certification. Additionally, this movie also went through the due examining process as per the CBFC guidelines. The committee has also guided the makers to implement the advised changes in the film including the songs and submit the revised version initially to theatrical release.”

Therefore, this movie has been battling controversy and calls for a ban after the release of its famous song that is Besharam Rang. Deepika Padukone is featured in this song and this song was released on 12th Dec 2022. A sequence in the song showing Deepika in a saffron bikini led to protests across India for supposedly hurting sentiments of Hindu people. Furthermore, Shah Rukh’s green shirt in the song was also criticized by Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra and the state legislative assembly’s speaker Girish Gautam. They also opposed the song and asked them to reshoots of the offensive scenes.

The main aim of the CBFC was to strike a balance between creativity of the makers and sentiments of the viewers and accordingly find a solution said by Joshi. Recently, Amazon Prime Video supposedly procured the OTT freedoms to Pathan for an incredible measure of Rs 100 crore. According to news reports, the film might make an OTT debut in late Walk or early April. However, there is at present no authority data attainable in regards to the film’s OTT discharge.
