According to reports, Rakhi Sawant’s husband Adil Khan Durrani was arrested by Oshiwara Police last night after the actress filed a FIR against him. Rakhi has accused him of cheating on her and having an extramarital affair, among other things.
The police filed a FIR against Adil Durrani under IPC Sections 406 and 420. Later that evening, the police amended the FIR to include Secs 498(A) and 377 of the IPC. Rakhi Sawant has made headlines in the past for her romantic relationships. He pretended to be her husband and joined Ritesh in the Bigg Boss 15 house. That, however, proved to be untrue.
The police stated, “This morning, we arrested Adil. We are currently following the procedure. Rakhi had filed a police report. We won’t be able to comment until the investigation is over. We’d been looking for Adil for the past two days. Whatever complaints Rakhi has been being verified at the moment.”
While speaking with the media Rakhi asserted, “When he (Adil) arrived at my house in the morning to beat me, I immediately called the police. He comes to my home frequently and threatens me. Even today, he came to my house to beat me. He claimed that you slandered me in the media.”
Adil also stole Rakhi’s money and jewelry, worth Rs 4 lakh, according to Rakhi. The actress also stated that she is considering divorce because he cheated on her. She expressed, “I don’t want to make any kind of agreement with Adil at this point of time. I simply cannot live with a man who sleeps with so many women. I expected him to apologize, leave Tanu (the girl with whom Adil allegedly cheated), and come to me. But that person is not trustworthy. So, I’ve decided to get a divorce right away.”
Rakhi’s brother Rakesh also supported the actress, claiming Adil verbally and physically abused her. “I never imagined he would descend to such low levels. We even extended him two or three pardons. When we went to Rakhi’s house the next day after our mother died to feed her, we noticed Rakhi’s face was swollen. She was crying and when our family members questioned her, she revealed that Adil had beaten her on the same day our mother passed away,” Rakhi’s brother explained.
Rakhi disclosed last month that she had married Adil in 2022. She took to Instagram to share a photo of their alleged marriage certificate, which shows the wedding took place on May 29, 2022. Later, on Monday (February 6), Rakhi filed criminal charges against Adil and told the media that her husband has abandoned her after cheating on her. After she filed an FIR against him, it got Adil Durrani arrested by police in the evening.
