Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reassured Salman Khan that the government always has his back and that his safety is the government’s responsibility.

On a crisp Tuesday morning, April 16, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde visited Salman Khan’s house in Bandra, assuring enhanced protection following

the arrest of two individuals responsible for the shooting incident at the actor’s residence.

Addressing the media, Shinde vowed to take strict action against the perpetrators, ensuring his commitment to the safety of the Bollywood superstar.

This Salman Khan news spread like wildfire, prompting CM Shinde to immediately instruct the Mumbai Police Commissioner to intensify security for Khan and his family.

“I have assured Salman Khan that the government stands behind him, and his safety is the government’s responsibility. The government will ensure that no one dares do such an act in Mumbai,” the Chief Minister affirmed.

Late Monday night, after being hot on the heels since Sunday, the police nabbed two suspects—Sagar Pal (21) and Vicky Gupta (24).

Both had been on the run since firing and later got arrested on the grounds of a temple in Gujarat’s Kutch district.

According to the police, one of the culprits, who was riding on the back of the motorcycle, fired five shots outside the Galaxy Apartment at around 5 AM. Of them,

one bullet pierced the gallery of Salman Khan’s residence, while the other hit the wall. After that, the perpetrators fled the spot.

As noted by CM Shinde, the police are currently investigating, and the truth will soon emerge. He added, “Police will find out who is behind the incident. Strict action will be taken against them.”

During Chief Minister Shinde’s visit, he was joined by former MLA Baba Siddiqui, his son and Congress legislator Zeeshan Siddiqui, and Shiv Sena Leader Rahul Kanal.
